A Message from Our Co-Founders

What a fun ride it’s been to watch Birthly grow, and we are excited to feel like we are entering the next phase! What started out as a personal need for childbirth education as Austen was expecting his first child continues to grow into a company focused on helping hospitals expand access to childbirth education via live, virtual classes. In March of this year, we launched 4 new partners, a monumental milestone for us and a testament to a lot of hard work by our team (shout out to Kelsey, Julie and our teachers!).

It is exciting and humbling to see Birthly grow, and we are grateful to our partners for trusting us. Growing a company comes with numerous challenges, it brings change, and it forces us as Co-Founders to become open to allowing people to share the journey with us. In January we hired our first official sales person, Kelsey Grabenstein. Kelsey has become such a critical part of the team - we literally could not have done it without her. In April, we were excited to welcome the first member of our marketing team - Kim Monroe, and are in the process of expanding our client success team.

As we continue to grow, our mission continues to become even more important to us. We believe childbirth education should be easy to access and affordable to all expecting parents, despite their socioeconomic status, geographic location, or work schedule. Childbirth education should be simple and straightforward for hospitals to offer, despite staffing shortages, pandemics, leadership changes, and other obstacles. The Birthly platform can be deployed easily and effectively by hospitals and the broad range and availability of classes makes it easy for patients to participate in.

We look forward to the future of Birthly and connecting with more hospitals and expecting parents! We will be first time attendees at AWHONN this year and look forward to seeing you there!
